Pursuant to Section 18 of The Real Estate Act, no person shall trade in real estate:

a)
as a brokerage, unless the person is registered as a brokerage;
b)
as a broker, unless the person is registered as a broker;
c)
as a branch manager, unless the person is registered as a branch manager;
d)
as an associate broker, unless the person is registered as an associate broker; or
e)
as a salesperson, unless the person is registered as a salesperson.

Pursuant to Section 19 of The Real Estate Act, a person who wishes to be registered shall:

a)
apply to the Commission on a form provided by the Commission;
b)
pay the fee prescribed in the bylaws and, where the application is for registration as a brokerage, the assessment prescribed in the bylaws for the Real Estate Assurance Fund;
c)
provide the Commission with an address for service in Saskatchewan; and
d)
produce evidence satisfactory to the Commission that the person has complied with the provisions of The Real Estate Act, its regulations and the bylaws with respect to registration in the category for which the application is being made.
